Frederick Tucker is an engineer by training, a former top executive at Motorola, Inc. and an Indy car racing enthusiast. An advisor to start-up companies, Fred has served on several boards, including chairman of ITS America, an advisory board to the US Department of Transportation responsible for assuring the coordination of public and private intelligent transportation initiatives in the United States.
After joining Motorola in 1965, Fred served in a number of senior management positions, including President and General Manager of the Automotive, Component, Computer and Energy Sector. Prior to his retirement, he was President of Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector and Deputy to the Chief Executive Officer.
A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, Fred was twiced named an outstanding alum. He currently serves on RIT’s board of directors and has been a mentor and counselor to numerous engineering students. A former board member of the Phoenix Art Museum, he also enjoys golf and traveling.
